Baltimore Renaissance Foundation (10384 hits)

The Baltimore Renaissance Foundation is a youth leadership organization developing positive change in urban communities through entrepreneurship.

The Foundation sponsors the nation's only social entrepreneurship incubator for urban youth, the Student Professional Development Initiative (SPDI). The SPDI program recruits young men 16-22 and helps them plan, implement, and manage a real, functioning business venture in their community. Using a unique leadership development system, students become real-life CEOs as they build their own individual organizations to promote economic and cultural empowerment in their respective communities.

Baltimore Renaissance also sponsors a cultural enrichment program, Project Counterculture. Project Counterculture focuses on combating negative media influences on urban youth, and promotes positive self-expression through fine arts, music, and writing.

The Foundation is comprised of young professionals and concerned citizens developing positive youth for change. The focus of Baltimore Renaissance is developing real leaders through hands-on experience. Together, we're rebuilding a culture of self-determination and intellectual excellence.

Are you someone who's serious about entrepreneurship and economic empowerment? Do you want to see less talk, and more action in your community? Visit www.baltimorerenaissance.org to learn more about the Foundation, and to support its mission.
