Black Wallstreet of Tulsa Oklahoma
In the 1920's African Americans owned their own businesses and were a very prominenet people. The black men and women were professors, lawyers, doctores, home owners, land owners, and the dollar circulated among their own. because of their prominenece the white people did not like it it and as a result the blacks were slaughtered. To this day the state of Oklahoma does not actually recognize or accept that this took place. There was a major cover up of this tragedy and many body were buried and cremated by the white community and public officials of thiat era.
