This position will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of workplace design. You would be spending 70-75% on a new internal initiative and 25-30% of your time on a workplace strategy projects. The activities include but are not limited to:
Use evidence based design to create informed space plans and concepts
Perform interior design assignments that include programming, test fits, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation
Participate in the selection and research of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lighting
Assist in generating finish plans, specifications, and material selections needed for construction
Provide support to standards documentation and construction documentation
WHO YOU ARE:
Ideally you are a designer first, a strategist thinker. You are a natural problem solver and use data and research to inform your design decisions.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field from an accredited school
2+ years of interior design experience
Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D, and other modeling software programs
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
Graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
Contributing to recommendations and client deliverables
Traveling to client sites across the U.S. (up to 50% at peak periods)
Self-motivated and highly organized
Ability to complete tasks with accuracy and with strong attention to detail
Ability to keep up in high paced work environment
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely; both verbally and in writing
Strong listening skills
Ability to present and articulate ideas and analyses
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and comfort with ambiguity and complex challenges
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary and distributed teams
