Human Resources Manager
JOB SUMMARY

Manages the effective implementation and administration of HR initiatives, policies and procedures in support of business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides HR consultative support to first-line supervisors, mid-managers and executive leadership for multiple markets in the Mountain-Northwest Region.

Provides guidance to employees, managers and business leaders relative to HR policies, procedures, and programs; ensures compliance with all applicable laws and corporate policies and guidelines.

Provides consultative support to managers in addressing challenges and improving employee performance through coaching and formal performance improvement and development plans.

Conducts investigations arising from alleged violations of employment practices, policies and/or procedures; Ethics Point hotline calls; employee grievances; and federal/state agency claims.

Leads annual HR initiatives within the Region launched by the HR Centers of Excellence, including talent assessments, performance reviews, and compensation planning and administration.

Assist with ongoing HR initiatives led by the HR Centers of Excellence, including diversity, affirmative action planning and good faith efforts, onboarding/exiting, employee engagement, corporate learning and development, and employee recognition and awards.

Advises and consults with employees and managers on policies, procedures and benefits related to workplace safety and health, leaves of absences, FMLA and ADA; oversees leaves of absences for the Region.

Advises managers regarding the recruitment, onboarding and exiting processes; HR procedures and policy interpretation; employee development and succession planning; workforce planning and design; and the development of job descriptions and market compensation.

Assists managers with requests for employee reports, including determining data fields, formatting, analyzing and presenting requested data;

Partners with managers to identify trends, provide insight and make recommendations on issues impacting employee retention and engagement.

Conducts training for employees and managers on a variety of topics, including performance coaching, new-hire orientation, diversity, and management practices.

Assists with special projects and performs other duties as assigned. 


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of related experience in fast-paced, multi-location environment required, preferably in a professional services organization.

Ability to analyze and interpret considerable data in varying circumstances and provide solutions to varying unique challenges.

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; ability to influence and motivate employees, managers and leaders to take desired action.

Solid Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills required. PeopleSoft knowledge preferred.

Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-PC/SHRM-SPC) designation preferred.
