Project Manager- Global Diamond & Jewelry Supply


The Human Resource Manager-Projects will collaborate with Global Diamond & Jewelry Supply (GDJS) Leadership in order to create & support business initiatives while ensuring efficiency and transparency for employees. The Human Resource Manager-Projects efforts will include but are not limited to continued cultural alignment among all GDJS locations and improving effectiveness of facilities through training, change management, process flows and communication. The Human Resource Manager-Projects will be accountable for understanding, aligning, and rolling out specific Human Resource objectives for Global Diamond & Jewelry Supply. Additionally, they will serve as the GDJS subject matter expert for Global Tiffany Human Resource initiatives and business objectives


Project Management

  • Collaborate with key business partners across Global Diamond Jewelry Supply and Tiffany Human Resources to ensure Business and HR project deliverables are accomplished:
    • Develop and execute project plans to ensure requirements can be met within existing budgets and timelines
    • Identify project budgets and logistic requirements
    • Create and own communication of timelines
    • Lead and manage small and large group meetings
    • Ability to collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to generate fact-based recommendations and measurement of progress
    • Develop analysis/ reports / statistics for all projects
    • Identify and troubleshoot obstacles that can adversely affect meeting project deadlines
    • Identify subject matter experts in the business to drive project goals
    • Advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change
    • Influence members of leadership for project buy in and continued support
  • Demonstrate employee advocacy and develop a reputation as a neutral and approachable HR professional
  • Actively participant in Tiffany HR projects by serving as a GDJS subject matter expert
  • Continuously serve as a change agent and champion for Global, local, department specific projects
  • Conduct audits of former and current projects to ensure requirements are properly implemented and compliant
  • Anticipate changing trends in both talent supply and demand to ensure in place programs are updated appropriately

Business Effectiveness

  • Translate GDJS strategy to tangible objectives, metrics and initiatives relevant for facilities
  • Ability to analyze information and determine potential options for solutions
  • Conduct subject matter research and liaise with Global HR Business Partners to identify areas of opportunity
  • Understand and examine business processes and document process flows and procedures
  • Identify potential gaps in location based initiatives compared to Tiffany Standards and immediately address and realign objectives
  • Effectively identifying front-running potential resistance to initiatives and develop strategies to effectively reach consensus to move forward
  • Support and help spread a culture of continuous improvement for all GDJS location
  • Stay abreast of process trends and leading practices occurring in the marketplace and work with management to facilitate strategic direction and process enhancement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Human Resources, Communication, Business Administration or International Business Relations
  • minimum 5 years of project management/implementation leadership experience in a large organizations
  • 2+ years of working with international business units and/or Human Resources experience 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities simultaneously while working with global business partners, operating in other time zones
  • Demonstrated ability to influence line partners
  • Established experience documenting processes and functional requirements
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), PeopleSoft 8.0
  • Proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed by the business
  • Six Sigma Certified 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of change management principles, industry best practices, lines of businesses supported, business culture(s) and business transformation
  • Diamond, Jewelry or Manufacturing knowledge
  • Master’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Human Resources, Communication, Business Administration or International Business Relations
  • Project Management Certification
