As an Operations Specialist for Child Safety, you are responsible for ensuring that we improve our understanding of trends and risks to child safety on the site. That includes understanding how dangerous individuals operate on the Internet to help us in the enforcement ideally prevent or remove that content as fast as possible. You help implement and enforce our policies across millions of videos. You define the operational plan and you implement it, globally, working with stakeholders in Engineering, Vendor Operations, Analytics, Policy and Legal.

Research and stay up to date on key trends and operating patterns creating a threat.
Analyze, identify, prioritize, and deliver strategies to reduce potentially harmful content.
Implement strategies on the YouTube platform, working with cross-functional partners (Policy, Partner with Policy, Engineering, Vendor Operations, and Analytics).
Track and monitor performance towards key metrics, deliver and implement improvement strategies.
Handle escalations with fast turnaround team to define define the best plan and implement fast. Provide timely updates to executives.
4 years of experience in a child safety capacity in an internet environment (law enforcement, security organizations, governmental agencies).
Experience implementing strategies to protect children.
Experience working with programming platforms and SQL.
Experience reviewing content and working on content policy and anti-abuse strategies.
Expertise in emergent computer, telecommunications, biometric and/or geospatial technologies.
Effective business judgment influencing and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners, across geographies.
