Assistant Professor of Biology: General Biology|
The Department of Biology seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology who will take a leadership role in the continued development of BIO 211 General Biology I, the first course in our introductory biology sequence. The successful candidate will teach BIO 211 General Biology, BIO 231 & BIO 232 Research Methods I & II, upper level courses in their area of expertise, and other courses as needed. The Department of Biology has an innovative approach to undergraduate education that emphasizes reading, performing, and writing research throughout the curriculum and biology faculty are expected to involve undergraduate students in their research. Specific research area is open but we are seeking a colleague whose research complements and potentially expands the existing research strengths in the department.
