Hi all. Actually I am searching for some real bonafide southern history buffs. Does anyone remember the old Disney movie, 'Song of the South?' The little boy says, "Uncle Remus is the best story teller in the whole United States of Georgia." Please if anyone knows if the South was really referred to back then as that at the time (late 1700s through mid 1800s), I would really appreciate it. My question is related to my genealogical research. Thanks Or if you know of someone to ask or an organization. Diane

I thought this was because the nation was divided by their political views. |
